5 Stars – A Must-Visit in Palm Springs! I had such a great experience at Bar Cecil! From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming — we were seated within seconds. Our waiter, Erick provided exceptional service, super attentive and friendly without being overbearing. The vibe was perfect with great music that really set the tone for the evening. The food? Incredible. Every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. You can tell this place takes pride in every detail — from the service to the atmosphere to the menu. I’m so happy I chose Bar Cecil for the night out, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Palm Springs!

Phenomenal dining experience. We took a chance and walked in. It was a 90 min wait but it was absolutely worth it. Bar Cecil is a (not so) hidden gem. The food was outstanding. The bread, deviled eggs, steak tartar and pork chop were standouts. The liver pate was a bit underwhelming but still good. The homemade chocolate chip cookies are a must. The cocktails were exceptional. The service was outstanding with friendly, knowledgeable and approachable staff. The decor was a maximalist delight with so much to look at. I couldn’t stop staring at the bar shelving! Obviously, try to get a res in advance but if you decide to walk in, take a chance and arrive closer to 6:30pm when the bar tables start to turn. You could get lucky and be seated with a shorter wait as we saw with some lucky guests. But if there’s more than few people waiting, that strategy won’t work. Either way, pack your patience and prepare to be delighted.

Delicious food. Great service. Fantastic decor and atmosphere. Walked in at 4:45, waited just a bit, got a seat at the owner’s booth. Had the rolls, duck liver pate, bibb salad, caccio e pepe, pavlova- ALL deserve five stars. Next time we’ll try to get a seat at the bar. Cant wait to go back.

Bar Cecil is undoubtedly a popular spot, but be prepared to plan ahead- securing a reservation is somewhat a challenge. We made a reservation a few weeks in advance. During our summer visit, we sat on the patio which was uncomfortably hot despite large, loud fans blowing air beside us. That said, the interior of the restaurant is charming, from what we were able to glimpse at and the food was tasty. The ratatouille and chicken dishes were flavourful and prepared nicely. The deviled eggs were a delightful way to start the meal. However, the true standout was the bread roll serviced with date and sage butter. It was excellent. I would like to go back again but sit indoors next time, especially if it's in the warmer months.

Bar Cecil is the buzziest, vibiest restaurant in Palm Springs, which explains why it’s so difficult to get a table. Fortunately, they do take walk-ins, but be prepared to wait. First, the decor is great. We loved the eclectic mix of art covering the walls. Second, the service was great. Third, the food was seriously impressive. The house rolls with sage-date butter provided a delightfully sweet and savory start to our meal. I could eat that butter every day! We also enjoyed the duck liver pate and the caramelized onion tart. Deviled eggs were a bit off a miss. We felt they lacked flavor. But the pork chop seriously knocked our socks off. It was so juicy and tender, probably the best pork chop I’ve ever had! Fries and martinis were also very good. A must-visit in Palm Springs!

The food here was delicious. The steak was one of the best we’ve had, which was a surprise since this isn’t a specialist steakhouse. Gluten free options were marked on the menu. The service was especially noteworthy (and excellent). I accidentally booked for the wrong day. They couldn’t magic up a table for us immediately (the place seems always busy) but they were very gracious in serving us wine and checking on us as we waited outside with books to read. We eventually got seats at the bar and the bar staff were also professional and personable. We got the crazy expensive martini as friends got us a voucher for our honeymoon.

an excellent restaurant with delicious food and cocktails. I would recommend the tartare and the martini. Definitely make a reservation FAR in advance, but I was able to find a spot at the bar as a walk in.

Got extremely lucky and was sat immediately on a Sunday at 7 pm with no res! I can tell why people like it so much. The bread rolls was DIVINE! The artichokes are also great. The red curry muscles were good but very curry forward. Carmelized onion tarte was flakey but a no on taste for me. The Cacio e Pepe was phenominal. And the steak frites was good but I’d probably get something else. Steak was fine nothing special. Great service although there was a mix up with a double order on the fries and the server took the fries away...weird. Otherwise we’d be back!!
